A Non-Pharmaceutical Approach to Healthy Blood Sugar.

What Syntra5 is Made of.

No surprises, no black box warnings, and nothing you can’t pronounce. Only ingredients that work.

Garcinia Cambogia

Garcinia cambogia is an extract of a tropical fruit called the Malabar tamarind. It’s sour, and often dried or pickled to add to curries. It’s said to be an appetite suppressant that may block the body’s ability to make fat and has become a popular weight loss supplement.

Gymnema Sylvestre

Gymnema is a woody climbing shrub that has been used in ayurveda for over 2,000 years. The plant is thought to stimulate insulin release in the pancreas, and chewing on the leaves can temporarily interfere with the ability to taste sweetness.

Cinnamon

We all know cinnamon as a warm spice used to flavor coffee and baked goods, but extracts from the bark of the cinnamon tree also have traditional medicine applications. It’s a powerful antioxidant that has been shown to reduce oxidative stress.

Bitter Melon

Bitter melon has insulin-like properties that help the body metabolize sugar, moving it to the liver, muscles, and fat. It’s a nutrient-rich melon that has been used for centuries in Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Betaine HCL

Betaine hydrochloride is used for natural digestive, gallbladder, and metabolic support. It’s an acidic form of betaine, which can be found in beet juice and grains.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) fortifies and protects the body’s blood vessels from damage. It’s a water-soluble vitamin found in citrus fruits, bell peppers, cauliflower, kale, strawberries, and tomato.

Banaba Leaf

Banaba is a plant native to the Philippines and Southeast Asia that has been used in folk medicine for centuries. It’s a natural source of corosolic acid.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is a powerful medicinal herb high in soluble fiber, which slows down digestion and the absorption of carbohydrates. Recognized as a spice in Indian, Turkish, and Egyptian cuisines. In traditional medicine, Fenugreek seeds are used to support healthy blood sugar levels and reduce inflammation.

Vanadium

Vanadium is a mineral that has been shown to increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin, and may also help with water retention and heart disease. It’s a trace mineral found in radishes, eggs, dill, and buckwheat.

Chromium

Chromium may help in two ways: by enhancing insulin’s effect in the body, and metabolizing carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It’s found in a variety of foods, including beef, broccoli, eggs, corn, and sweet potato.

Biotin

Biotin helps metabolize dietary carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into energy. It’s a B-vitamin found in almonds, brewer’s yeast, eggs, pecans, and walnuts.

The Scope & Study.

Our clinical testing of Syntra5 studied 100 subjects (47 men and 53 women) with fasting blood glucose levels between 160 and 240 mg/dL. The participants were randomly assigned either six oral Syntra5 tablets daily or a placebo for 90 days. We measured fasting blood glucose, body mass, oral glucose tolerance test, total cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides, blood pressure, and other markers at both baseline and at the study’s conclusion.

Natural, non-pharmaceutical ingredients working together.

In 2004, we had plenty of anecdotal evidence our formula, Syntra5, helped patients support healthy blood sugar levels. We began pursuing clinical testing on our formula to support what we’d observed. From that first study, we learned that it not only supported stable blood glucose, but also helped support healthy cholesterol, triglyceride, and blood pressure levels. Subsequent studies have shown Syntra5 to be a first choice for those seeking non- pharmaceutical options.

The Gold Standard.

The “gold standard” of clinical pharmaceutical research is and continues to be what’s called a placebo-controlled, randomized double-blind study. But what does that mean? You may have heard the word “placebo” used alternately with “sugar pill”. What both terms mean is simply that the substance is not active and should do nothing, while the active substance does (or doesn’t do) what it’s suspected to do. The person taking it doesn’t know which one they’re getting. Another term you probably know, the “placebo effect”, is where a product works because a researcher or participant believes in the product, and may not be reporting their objective experience. “Randomized” means just that: random. In a study, some patients are given the placebo, and some are given the “active” subject of the test (in our case, Syntra5) without any other qualifications. In order to avoid bias from researchers or participants, a randomized study doesn’t follow a pattern administering either pill. The unpredictability helps keep the test objective. And when we call a researcher or subject “blind,” we just mean that person doesn’t know who is receiving an active medication and who’s receiving a placebo. You’ve heard the term “single-blind,” which means the subject doesn’t know which one they’re taking. In a double-blind study, you guessed it: neither the researcher nor the subject know if they’re taking a placebo or an active. Double-blind studies help eliminate biases and the “placebo effect” . And why is this important? Dietary supplements are subject to different regulations, and therefore do not usually have a reason to undergo double-blind testing. As a dietary supplement, Syntra5 is unique in that it has undergone this more rigorous testing.

The Formula.

How did we pick our ingredients? We chose the ingredients in the original formulation for Syntra5 in 1999 with the help of a respected Seattle-based bariatric physician – himself a person with unhealthy blood sugar. At that time, we only included three ingredients. We chose them based on strong evidence that they were effective in promoting healthy blood sugar: hydroxycitric acid (HCA), chromium, and vanadium. These are still the ingredients at the heart of Syntra5. HCA was and is still the superstar of Syntra5. It’s derived from the tropical tree fruit Garcinia Cambogia, and works in three specific ways: it increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin, converts more blood sugar to fuel, and suppresses appetite better than any other natural compound ever tested. Chromium, meanwhile, has been shown to help insulin work better in the body and fight insulin resistance. Vanadium both increases insulin sensitivity and actually mimics insulin’s catalyst action in the body. We continued working on the formula between 1999 and 2004, as more clinical research became available on various vitamins, minerals, and herbal extracts. Our goal has always been to produce an effective formula, and we chose these ingredients carefully based on outside individual clinical research. New studies on vitamin c, biotin, gymnema sylvestre, cinnamon, bitter melon, banaba, and fenugreek made them important elements in the formula.

Our Mission.

We inspire phenomenal, self-driven change, transformed lives and great attitudes. We liberate people with health concerns from profit-driven medical models and pharmaceutical approaches. We empower people by sharing knowledge from our expertise, clinical research, and other experts in the field. We heal families by providing a supportive community to ease worry with common sense answers that work. We champion good health through positive change for life.

Our Story.

In 1999, we teamed up with a respected bariatric physician in Seattle to formulate something that would really work for his patients, his family—and himself. We knew we had created something special. By 2010, we had achieved a level of product testing unheard of in the dietary supplement industry, including: a toxicity study, a preliminary fructosamine study, and two clinical studies. Today, Syntra5 is one of the rare supplements on the market scientifically tested to support normal blood glucose levels in healthy people. We’ve sold over 1 million bottles and counting, and helped tens thousands of people stay healthy, lively, and strong.

It Works!

Four back operations and a lot of muscle and nerve problems…An extremely active person I am convinced that this product works and may likely work for you…thus helping me avoid drug medications. Highly recommend this natural product.

You are, without a doubt, powerful.

Our brand story.

We operate on one simple principle: You’re not a victim. You are, without a doubt, powerful. You have the power to make incredible changes. You are not just a number. And together? We’re unstoppable. Unhealthy blood sugar is less an illness and more a runaway freight train. It’s scary. It’s a death sentence (or so we’ve been told). It’s worse than any awful medication side effect. It doesn’t slow down or stop. We know where it starts, travels, and ends. And it always ends in the same place. It crashes and burns and you face the possibility of becoming another statistic.
You, a mere mortal, have the power to stop a runaway freight train.
You don’t take your medication, you die. You DO take your medication, and, well, you might die. But these odds are a little better. All the while, unhealthy blood sugar has its own agenda.
It’s a hostage situation, and you’re bargaining with both your captor and your rescuer to stay alive.
Something happens. You lose your insurance, and suddenly medication is an incredible burden, or far beyond your reach. Just to stay alive. Doctors provide you with prescriptions for what is, basically, false hope. When’s the last time your doctor called you at home to see how you were doing? This is the person who promised you that, despite being 50 lbs overweight, despite all logic, that you could live long enough to see your grandkids graduate if you just keep taking your pills. It might not be a lie per se, but it isn’t the truth, either. Maybe it’s keeping you sick. You might make it to graduation. You probably won’t enjoy it.
In this world, WE are the future.
It might surprise you to learn that there is a big crowd of people out there who have kicked this disorders’ ass, naturally. Even if you know that statistically, you’re part of a huge group—are you talking to other people with the same issues and concerns? Does anyone understand what you’re going through well enough to help you out? We aren’t big enough or wealthy enough to take on the entire American medical system, but we are something they are not and never can be: truthful, courageous, and social. We’re not in the business of giving you pills and disappearing for six months ‘till you stumble in wondering why they aren’t working. We won’t resurface and make you feel worse about how you’re not making progress. We’re always here. Even when they’re not. Healthy people do healthy things together. We are your community, working together to solve the sugar problem. If you didn’t know, now you know. Becoming your OWN medical professional solves a LOT of problems.
